Measure the speed and direction of the Earth

If the speed of light is constant as stated by Einstein, regardless of the frame of reference.  We should be able to measure the speed of light between two points in an x, y and z plane.  Any difference in speed detected between any of these planes should allow us to calculate the speed and direction of the Earths motion relative to the universe.

Parallel universe theory is wrong

The parallel universe theory states that parallel universes exist where everything that can happen will happen.  Since there can be infinite number of combinations of everything happening there would be an infinite number of universes with every possible scenario played out.

Here is why I think this is wrong.  The above theory would include a universe where infinite order would exist and a universe where infinite disorder would exist.  Both of which break the laws of thermodynamics.

How life transitioned to land

It is often shown in big Earth history that at some point in the ancient past life that lived in the ocean crawled out of the ocean to live on land.  I believe this notion of life simply crawling onto land, is wrong.  What benefit would life have coming out of the ocean if it was adapted for life in water.

My theory is that life in water transitioned to land by changes in the environment.  As water levels raised and lowered over millions of years (possibly due to ice ages) some shallow waters that held marine life would have dried up.  Often killing off any life that existed in that water.  This would have happened many thousands of times in different parts of the world.  Eventually a body of water would have dried up that contained life that had the right adaptations to survive outside of water.  This life would have continued to evolve various adaptations to made it better suited to life outside of water.

Some of these shallow waters that previously hosted marine life would contain a seabed created by layers of organic life.  This would be perfect soil that would allow for plant life previously underwater to now grow on land.  These plants would became a food source for life on land.
