Something to think about...

How do thaughts work. What is going on inside your brain while you are thinking. As you experiance things thousands of nurons are firing in your brain, this sequence of firing represents the experiance in your mind. However thoughts are different there is no external stimuli causing you to experiance something, instead the stimuli is coming from within. I beleve that our brains in addition to nurons firing with external stimuli are constany firing randomly. This random firing will occasionaly match up with a previous experiance, and your brain will generate a thought derived from the combination of the previous experiance and the random firing of nurons.

Based on this theory our brain is just a chemical reaction and thoughts and ideas are generated by random chance.

Agreed, past experiences play a big part in our thoughts, and this is not what I am referring to. My post was meant to try to explain creativity. A lot of us have similar experiences, however not all of us come up with new ideas. There is something more going on in the mids of the creative, where every so often there is a spark that results in a new novel idea, something that has never been done or seen before.
